Responsibilities

Responsible for the daily coordination of schedules for Massage, Esty and Nail providers. Manage ordering of all products and supplies for Massage, Body treatments, Facial treatment and guest supplies. Serves as the point of contact for schedules and schedule maximization. Manages product measurement, dispensing and inventory with the assistance of leads. Works to schedule and lead vendor training, assists with Locker and Front Desk support as needed. Work as a team with other Spa Leadership to ensure the highest level of services are performed in conjunction with a smooth spa operation.

  • Monitor operational activities and issues daily and shift by shift within the spa facilities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all spa services, pricings, offerings, schedules, specials, and other servicesprovided at the spa.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the spa including overall cleanliness, service and economic use of resources and supplies.
  • Maintain established hotel and departmental policies, procedures, standards, and objectives.
  • Adhere to Monarch House Hotel Rules & Regulations.
  • Administer effective onboarding of all new hires, with assistance of Department Leads, in line with Spa Monarch New Hire manuals. addressing all policies, procedures, protocols, expectations, goals and objectives are delivered in line with the hotel standards.
  • Actively participating in hiring and interview process.
  • Creating and updating new hire manuals and treatment protocols, keeping all the binders up to date.
  • Assign the side duty tasks for leads, place blocks on their schedule and ensure a follow though.
  • Perform a daily facility walkthrough and ensure that the room standards are maintained.
  • Look ahead and ensure the proper coverage of providers on any given day.
  • Perform monthly and quality audits on providers to ensure that they are delivering service protocols accurately and effectively in line with Spa Monarch Standards and expectations.
  • Monitor upgrades to ensure all product usage aligns with services delivered in SpaSoft.
  • Work closely with the Spa Director to ensure all 90 day and annual team member evaluations are effectively monitored and team member performance is reviewed and addressed as need be.
  • Ensure team compliance with all trainings requested by HR and IT.
  • Participate in balancing the books as needed.
  • Support the front desk operation on busy days or in the event of a call out.
  • Prepare orders for supplies monthly according to par levels.
  • Place order though Stratton Warren system in line with operating budget.
  • Assist with retail orders in the absence of Spa Assistant Manager.
  • Perform monthly inventory of operating supplies with the assistance of leads and update the spreadsheet.
  • Monitor the maintenance of a clean environment in massage/body treatment area according to Department of Health and departmental standards.
  • Respond to all guest concerns in a prompt, professional and courteous manner. Respect guest confidentiality.
  • Place tickets in MaintenanceConnection to track maintenance and repairs and actively communicate with Facilities.
  • Participate in skincare, massage and body treatment training sessions as required to have a good understanding of each protocol.
  • Promote and contribute to a positive team morale.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal and guest service skills.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of managerial, sales, and customer service skills desired, preferably in a high-end spa, fitness, hotel environment.
  • Previous Spa Management experience is preferred.
  • Ability to respond to guest and employee concerns with urgency and professionalism.
  • Ability to make rational business decisions, demonstrate analytical thinking, and acute problem solving.
  • Communicate effectively and interact professionally with our guests and staff.
  • Ability to effectively and consistently develop and coach front line staff.
  • Must understand the operational dynamic within all areas of the spa.
  • Must be able to create and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Seek out new vendors and find the latest trends in the Spa world.
  • Must be extremely organized and plan well.
