Starting at: $48,000 - $53,000 + up to $3,000 New Hire Incentives + Free Meal + Benefits

Other Compensation: *New hire incentives includes up to $1,400 from Monarch and up to $1,600 in “Colorado Jumpstart” unemployed workers incentives for those who are eligible. State payments are within 30 and 60 days. Monarch adds payments 90 through 180 days! Note: State payments go to $1,200 on June 1. Reconciles daily hotel audit, prepares daily hotel audit journal entries, reconciles room charges and reconciles supporting balance sheet accounts. Prepares various reports, tax returns and financial analysis.
- Reconcile daily hotel audit and prepares daily hotel audit journal entry.
- Reconciles room charges.
- Accurately prepare hotel audit account reconciliations on a month to month basis and complete them by the 15th the month.
- Maintain accurate files of all journal entries and reconciliations.
- Document hotel audit policies, procedures and audit programs and ensure they are kept up-to-date.
- Regularly communicate with hotel personnel/management.
- Assist with preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Prepare financial analysis.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Assist the accounting/ hotel management as needed to complete ad-hoc projects, month-end and year-end reports.
- Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
- Must be fluent in English.
- Proficiency in Infinium Accounting, and HMS hotel system, and MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proficiency on 10-key.
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments with accuracy and adhere to deadlines.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
- Ability to recognize and solve problems concerning accounting and accounting principles and suggest solutions to practical problems.
- 2 to 3 years of experience as a Hotel Accountant or in an accounting related field.
Education, Training & Experience:
- BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
